Travis has established his reputation for building positive relationships with clients. As a Principal Partner of Opulence Financial Service Group, a Registered Representative with New York Life Securities, LLC, and New York Life Insurance Company, Travis seeks to understand clients’ financial needs and risk tolerance, providing guidance on insurance protection, wealth accumulation, and legacy preservation.
Travis aspires to help clients discover the financial opportunities available to them and manifest their financial dreams. He is a 2024 member of the Million Dollar Round Table, a member of New York Life’s African American Market Unit, and was presented the “Gold Award” in 2019 for creating financial stability, economic opportunity, and multigenerational wealth. With the assistance of CPAs and Estate Attorneys, he makes it a priority to educate clients on key legal and financial concepts that improve their overall well-being.
In addition to his professional achievements, Travis has served for two years on the Sales Council for the BMW Charity Pro-Am, a program that raised over $1.3 million in 2025 to support numerous nonprofits across South Carolina. He is also a proud four-year member of NAIFA – the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, where he continues to expand his industry knowledge and advocate for ethical, client-centered financial practices.
Travis received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Banking and Finance from Johnson C. Smith University. He furthered his education at Strayer University, earning a Master of Science in International Marketing.
Travis is a servant leader and 20+ year member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Alpha Foundation. He has served as President, State Board member, Project Alpha Committee member, and Furman University Diversity and Inclusion team member. He is a member of Kingdom Life Church in Simpsonville, SC, and invests in his community by actively participating in United Way’s Hands on Greenville, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Golf Tournament, March of Dimes, and supporting The Blood Connection.
A native of South Carolina, Travis grew up in Greenville and was recognized as an Upstate Black History Maker. He currently resides in Blythewood with his wife of 19 years and their dog, Lincoln.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, shooting billiards, and cheering for the JCSU Golden Bulls, Clemson Tigers, and the Philadelphia Eagles.
